GIVE A COFFEE APPEAL: Supporting our Food & Drink Businesses Through the Water Crisis.
Over the past week we’ve watched many of our small, independent, family-run cafés, pubs, restaurants and food retailers struggle through the water outage in Tunbridge Wells. Days of forced closure, poor pressure and boil-water notices have hit our hospitality businesses at the worst possible time, with losses already running into five figures.
Through the TN card we are proud to support many of these businesses, and we know owners personally as friends and valued colleagues. Like many locals, we’ve felt powerless to help, and we’ve heard the same from members who just want to do something to show they care.
Alongside visiting, shopping and dining with them in the coming weeks, we wanted to offer a way for our community to give a personal boost - a chance to donate £2 (less than the price of a coffee) to help them get back on track this Christmas. So we’ve launched a JustGiving page for those who would like to contribute.
Donations will be shared equally among all hospitality businesses who ask for help. Any business affected by the outage can email info@thetncard.com. to be added to the support list. Feel free to let us know of affected businesses by adding a note with your donation on the Justgiving page too.
