We’d love the chance to tell you about the TN card - in person! Because we believe that's where the real power is: people coming together, making connections and friendships, and strengthening the community we live in. When we meet face to face, we’re reminded that local isn’t just a place on a map; it’s a network of individuals, families, and small businesses that thrive when we choose to support one another. And when we support local, we’re not just keeping money in our community - we’re reducing carbon footprints, protecting local character, and helping small businesses create jobs and opportunities right here at home.
If you run events or host groups in the TN postcodes (from Tonbridge to Tenterden, Southborough to Sevenoaks) and you’re looking for a speaker - whether a full presentation or a quick pop-in - we’d be delighted to join you. We love sharing our passion for supporting local and raising awareness of just how many brilliant independents we have on our doorsteps. And yes… we always bring a few goodies along, so your group can enjoy some treats and take home something special.
We’ll introduce you to the story behind this Social Enterprise, a not-for-profit reward scheme that puts people and planet before profit. Did you know for example, it was founded (and is still run) by a local mum of four who wanted a practical way of championing our High Streets while making supporting local more affordable? And we'll tell you all about where you can save money too - people are always surprised by the number and diversity of businesses involved - cafes and restaurants, pubs and bars, theatres and events, shops and makers, days out, beauty and fitness, professional services - all with savings personally chosen just for members.
Of course the TN card is about more than savings. It’s about discovering places you’ve walked past for years, connecting with business owners you haven’t met yet, and joining a community of people who share the same love for keeping local high streets vibrant. Our member events are all about getting us together - to spark inspiration, build friendships and celebrate the brilliant independents that make our towns unique.
Since every membership supports West Kent Mind as well as our independents, we also welcome opportunities to speak at mental health awareness events. With growing research confirming how essential community is for wellbeing, we can show you a simple, meaningful way to strengthen local connections and have a meaningful support network that benefits everyone.
