I'm Shannon - writer, author and painter.
My debut children’s book ‘Sid and Biscuit bear’ follows the adventures of two unlikely friends as they go on an epic adventure across the sea to find a place to call home. The underlying message is one of acceptance and friendship. The book is aimed at pre readers and young children who enjoy a slightly longer bedtime story.
I wrote and illustrated this book over a period of about two years. All the original illustrations were drawn using pencil on thick Bockingford paper and coloured using Sennelier watercolour paints and Fabre Castel pencil crayons. I hope that you will enjoy reading it to your children and I guarantee they will find joy in talking to them about the illustrations.
Reading together is such a precious time so do it for as long as you can.
