Therapies.
I offer Swedish, deep tissue, sports, pregnancy, medical, deep colon, scalp acupressure and aromatherapy massage, as well as running women's health clinics and specialising in pregnancy and postnatal issues, children with cerebral palsy and trauma and PTSD. I have been qualified as a massage therapist since 1997, and have also enjoyed a career as a surgical nurse and then a midwife before becoming a sports therapist.I also have 9 years experience of working around physical disability in children.I am also an accredited massage tutor and offer in house and online training, as well as one to one training and corporate training.
My qualifications are: BSC equivalent nursing, BSc Midwifery, IHBC Diploma in Swedish Massage and Preheat Treatments, Active IQ Diploma in Sports Massage, IPHM Pregnancy Massage, IPHM Trigger Point Therapy, IICT Deep Colon Massage, Accredited Trainer and Aromatherapist. I am also fully registered and insured.

After coming into massage full time, I felt that more needed to be done to ensure that the clients are getting their needs met. Too many clients have come to me because they've been unable to find a therapist who could explain why they have tension in a particular muscle or what to do about it, because it may be linked to a medical condition. I've also witnessed therapists providing inappropriate treatments to clients with medical issues because they don't have the knowledge or experience. This places the client's health at risk.
I therefore offer courses where I can help therapists of any level develop their knowledge and skill in various areas, by filling the gap and giving them the benefit of my medical knowledge and experience. This means that the therapists has the knowledge to ask the right questions and offer a safe treatment as well as being able to explain to their client why they have a particular area of tension and what they can do about it in the way of preventive self help measures.
