how does thetncard work?
thetncard is a loyalty membership scheme for anyone who lives in or visits Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells. You can purchase an annual card for £20 which entitles you to a broad range of discounts and offers at local shops, restaurants, bars, hotels and days out. £2 from the sale of every card goes to West Kent Mind.
Who are West Kent Mind?
West Kent Mind support mental health in West Kent. They do this by involving people in activities and groups, through psychological therapy and one to one support. They help people to re-join the wider community and encourage the active participation and empathy of the wider community. West Kent Mind see people with mental health problems as people first. How long does membership last?
thetncard is valid for a period of 12 calendar months. After your card has reached its expiry date (as stated on the card) you will need to purchase a new one. There is no automatic renewal.
Are there restrictions on thetncard?
yes, thetncard is available to over-18s only. You may be asked to verify your date of birth on ordering a card. Anyone who lives in or visits Tonbridge or Tunbridge Wells is welcome to purchase a card and become a member.
I have signed up, when will I receive my personalised card?
You should receive thetncard within 21 days of ordering. In the meantime, you'll receive a welcome email which acts as your temporary card. You can show this to participating businesses to start enjoying member benefits right away.
I don't want to buy a card online, can I buy one in person?
If you would prefer not to purchase a card via the website you can order one at Flowers by Enchantment, Gorgeous George and TOFS in Tonbridge, and Biggi Best, Geography, The Superfood Company and Whirligig in Tunbridge Wells.. You'll need to fill out an order form and will receive your annual membership card within 28 days. You'll receive a temporary card to use in the meantime.
I have lost my card, what should I do?
If you have lost your card, please contact us on firstname.lastname@example.org. We charge £3.50 to cover a replacement and postage.
How do you process payments?
This website uses complete payments platform Stripe and Paypal to process card payments. Both are secure and PCI (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) compliant.
Can I cancel my membership?
Yes, card purchases are refundable within 14 days, on the condition that thetncard has not be used at any participating businesses. Please see our terms and conditions for more information.
Can I transfer my membership to another person?
Cards are strictly non transferable. The member's name is shown on thetncard, and members also need to sign the back signature strip. You may be asked for additional ID at participating businesses.
What about my Tonbridge Loyalty Card?
We are proud to work alongside the Tonbridge Town Team's loyalty card. Our members will collect two stamps (instead of the usual one) when they show thetncard to businesses participating in the Tonbridge Town Team scheme.
I have a problem. Who do I contact?
If you experience any problems with thetncard or our participating businesses, please contact us as soon as you can at email@example.com. We'll get back to you as a priority.
I no longer wish to receive newsletters. What do I do?
